I did not receive monetary compensation to write this review, just the product itself. As I've mentioned previously, I've been getting my father gifts for Father's Day pretty much solely related to cooking. Ever since...alright, the divorce...he's been really into cooking and it's been great for him. He enjoys it, eats healthier, and now has a practical hobby. I mean, he could put together a 1970s Trans-Am blindfolded but you can't eat a Trans-Am unless you're a car compactor or Optimus Prime, maybe. So I'm trying to foster his cooking hobby as much as possible. As just mentioned, my dad spends a LOT of time around/under/behind/in cars fixing them so...even on the best of days...he's coated in a THIN layer of just absolute filth. I figured if he's going to be cooking, he should at least have an apron. Not to keep stuff off of his clothing but to keep gearbox lube and 10W30 out of the food. And since he's been learning all of his cooking from Youtube videos, this was perfect. It arrived neatly folded in a plastic slip bag so I took it out to air out. Y'know how printed shirts get when all that stank chemicals hang out in a bag for awhile. It's good to air it out and get those (probably hazardous) chemicals out. Inspecting the apron, it's not bad. The front is a thin canvas or at least a woven cloth but it's hard to tell whether it's natural or not. The back is some sort of protecting layer like tight woven nylon. It has a little patch sewn on that says "hand made" which I doubt but the technically could have hand sewn the patch ON and it'd be technically correct so who am I to judge? My main problem is the printing. It's, I believe, vinyl transfer/heat press printing. It seems to be fairly well adhered but combine standing next to a hot stove with automotive solvents and splattering grease and I have some doubts about the longevity of the print. It does have a variety of pockets, one small for smaller utensils and a larger one for large utensils or hands (while you wait for the cookies to bake, it's nice to have hand pockets). Really, the quality of the apron itself is pretty good. It's just the print that I'm not sure will last.Overall, the apron is nice, the slogan is appropriate, but the printing is suspect. I never liked vinyl heat print and, had I known, I may not have got it. That being said, it's a $10 apron. Even if the print comes off, you can't print it on again for less than $10. That's cheap as all hell. So would I recommend it? Sure, it's a decent apron made of pretty utility materials that'll fare well in a kitchen. Just...get some embroidery thread ready for after a couple of washes. You may need to put the logo back on yourself. Which I'll gladly do for my Dad.As long as it keeps him making that chocolate peanut butter fudge. Oh man. This bib apron is well made and looks pretty good. The construction, both the stitching and metal bits, is solid. The adjustability is great and it can be easily tweaked to fit any size from extra large down to petite folks. My only gripe is that the printing does not look as good as the picture. Clearly the lettering in the advertising was photoshopped to make it look solid. While It does not look bad, the print does not look durable.
